Re: Doom 3:Resurrection of Evil
Rich, you just can't expect decent games to run under Win 3.1 anymore.... it really is time you upgraded that old 386SX of yours

Re: Doom 3:Resurrection of Evil
Update: Found this thread which helped a lot:
http://www.planetamd64.com/index.php...=0&#entry56866
Quote:
1. Install Doom3, patch it to 1.1
2. Copy the whole directory "d3xp" from your RoE-CD to your Doom3-Directory
3. Apply Patch 1.2 from RoE-CD
4. Start Doom3
5. Now you are asked for the CD-Key of RoE
6. Select MODS and select RoE
7. Enjoy

I'm running XP x64 BTW...

Re: Doom 3:Resurrection of Evil
It's the new expansion pack.
It took me ages to decide between Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory and this but the temptation of the double-barrelled shotgun was too much to resist.

Very helpful.
It said on the box that it needs 2000/XP - I'm running XP.
Anyway, I got there by hacking the .msi file, if anyone needs instructions on this then let me know.

Re: Doom 3:Resurrection of Evil
Wow, this game is awesome.
It feels just like that moment when I first played Doom 3 - except you start in a place much worse!
Got some screenshots, one is of a bloke who scared the crap out of me by jumping out of a locker and also of the new grabber gun - everything goes weird when you use that.
I'm not going to spoil the game by explaining what's going on in the 4th screenshot, you'll have to find out for yourself.

Re: Doom 3:Resurrection of Evil
Couple of new screenshots, one of another arcade game (remember Super Turkey Puncher? ) and one which is probably the most terrifying part of the game I've seen so far...
That part really was nasty, at least it proves that id Software are not the only twisted developers around.
(the double barrelled shotgun kicks ass BTW, just thought I'd mention that )

Re: Doom 3:Resurrection of Evil
If it turns out anything like it did with me, it'll before long become tedious

Re: Doom 3:Resurrection of Evil
I will likely play it to death again, prefer Halo mutliplayer myself and good old Flight Sim 2004, but this will be a nice game to break in the new computer.
