Have you changed the default file locations in the apps you get frustrated with?

Hmmm.....
This could work:
Quote:
Deleting 'My Pictures' Folder in WinXP
If the 'My Pictures' folder in the My Documents folder annoys you, you've come to the right place. Stupid Uncle Bill hard-coded it into Windows, so that every time you restart Windows, the damn folder appears again. But, wait...
1. Open My Documents.
2. Delete the My Pictures folder.
3. Right-click in an empty area in My Documents, select New, and then Text Document.
4. Rename the new file to My Pictures (without a filename extension). (If you don't see the .txt filename extension here, go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab, and turn off the Hide extensions for known file types.)
5. Right-click your new My Pictures file, select Properties, and turn on the Read-only and Hidden options. Click OK when you're done.
Since you can't have two files with the same name (or a folder and a file with the same name) in the same directory, Windows won't be able to create the My Pictures folder as long as the file exists. :-D Take that, Windows.

Unfortunately that option only shows up if you use the new ish start menu and not the "classic" - I use the classic one

Rename the my pictures folder to something else and leave it. I've done this and the my pictures folder hasn't come back since.
