Re: Building my own PC
Installed HL2 again today. It looks really awesome on this PC
Just been shot at when underwater and I could see the bubbles of air in the bullet trails in the water

The citadel is a good graphical level isn't it, the whole section where you just look at the eye candy on the monorail
Wake up Mr Freeman you have a new toy to play with
I dunno if you get it on your pc but do you intermitantly get the odd glitch with HL2?? In 32 bit xp it freezes every now and again just for a second, but on xp 64 it does it less for me

Re: Building my own PC
The sounds on HL2 is what amazes me. Even with only 2 speakers it sounds amazing.
Oh, and there is a big difference between Dx7 and Dx8 on HL2

Re: Building my own PC
Yeah, it looks much better with the PS 2 shaders.
I was pretty amazed by the water thing, just wait until you get to see the doors later on inside the houses with the "frosted" glass, that was their most complicated shader IIRC.

It looks good with PS 1.4 (which my card supports). I don't see the "frosted" glass though, looks like that's a Dx9 shader
