Not really! Modem is fine as far as I can tell, all connectivity between us and your modem looks really good, pings are fine, etc.

Might be a problem with the connection between modem and wireless, I presume it's bad even connecting wired to modem?

Re: Paaaainfullll Boadband speed.

Weird, your modem seems stuck at ~200kbps max download, even though as you posted above it's able to do a full 2Mbps.

Not sure of a program to constantly test speeds, pings are doable with something like pingplotter though, if pings are becoming an issue when it all goes wacky.

I can confirm that your wireless isn't being hijacked at any point though, just to eliminate that from the equation.

Re: Paaaainfullll Boadband speed.

Dont think any wireless hijacking. Nothing abnormal on server DHCP Logs.

Nah as I said no evidence that hijacking was in progress, think I said could confirm that it wasn't happening.

Presumably it's still misbehaving

Try connecting a machine directly to the modem (firewalled obviously) to eliminate your LAN entirely. Thanks!

Re: Paaaainfullll Boadband speed.

Forget that, done some more searching and found the issue.

If you have an attenuator on the back of your modem remove it, small device sits in between coax cable and modem.

If you don't you'll require an engineer to attend, you've low downstream power.

Hope this helps.
