Short of glueing it up and using your operating system (eject button in Windows Media Player for example) to open/close it, there's no way of doing this that I'm aware of.

Re: CD Drawer on my PC tower
Could you not just sellotape a rectangle of card over the cd-rom to hide the interesting little button?

Re: CD Drawer on my PC tower
He is only two, and i can't move my tower as there is nowhere else for it to go! If the computer is switched off he turns it on so he can ram all kinds of things into the cd drawer. I thought there might be a way as i recently changed a setting in my control panel somewhere that was 'Do Nothing' when the power button was pressed when the PC is on..........

Re: CD Drawer on my PC tower
Then move your PC into another room and place a bolt high up on the door or put a toddler gate across the door.
And find him his own wonderful interactive toy that flashes and beeps and has moving parts...to distract him.

Re: CD Drawer on my PC tower
Mine is more interested in the button on the printer that produces the test page with a racing car on it.
again
and again
and again
I keep telling him each time he does it thats 10p out of his university fund but he doesn't seem to care.
Anyway you should at least be able to tell him that it is bad to put stuff in there, even if he presses the button.
