Samsung STB Problems

Samsung STB last 3 months, can never get wide screen to work right.

1st off I call NTL and they want my phone number, well they were unable to connect a phone so no phone number. I'm then told that I've called the wrong service number, but they do not have another number, in fact I'm asked or told I DO NOT HAVE NTL! I reply that's funny I have a bill I pay to ntl and heres my account number, I'm told that is not a ntl account number, thats funny NTL billing, TV Broad band they take the money and yet I'm not a customer!

So, with all this I can't get service man to my flat now. They have been here twice for a phone they can't supply but when it comes to the problems with the box.

Can anyone help?

Thank You

Re: Samsung STB Problems

:Welcome: to Cable Forum. Sorry it's not in better circumstances

You say ntl have not connected a phone line but yet it's part of the TV deal. I know it's a "freebie" add on, but effectively it has a value to you - if ntl don't supply it. so that should be pursued and if they don't install - it's ntl's problem, not yours and you should seek a bill reduction.

As for them not identifiying your account, it sounds like someone hasn't got some proper account records appearing on their screen. If you have an account number, money is coming out of your bank account, they must be able to trace, but the front line CS doesn't want the hassle. Call again and ask for a supervisor if you get this run around again.

Try doing a search for "widescreen" it may shed more light on your specific issues.
