STB Upgrade Faults
Just got upgraded from a PACE to a samsung, and now I have no broadband connection, PC detects a fault with the line. This used to happen with my PACE, and I used to go to a "ntl://" web address (I think) and re-register my PC with the box. Is there a similar system for the Samsung STB? Any other suggestions?

Re: STB Upgrade Faults
You'll probably need to re-register
Type this address 172.16.30.84 in your address bar, should take you to the provisioning page, pop in your PID and password, reboot everything and you should be online

Not sure what you mean by 'PC detects a fault with the line', but you will need to 're-provision'. Try typing start.ntl into your browser address bar, and you'll need your PID and password from your original welcome letter.
[Edit] Marge beat me to it!

Neither of those brought up anything =/. Odd, because they used to. Any other thoughts?

Re: STB Upgrade Faults
Another possible is the cable from the STB to the PC. Some Pace boxes used a crossover cable, whereas the Samsung uses a straight-through. That could also explain the 'PC detects a fault with the line'.

Re: STB Upgrade Faults
That ties in with my suspicion. It is the address you get if the PC can't talk to the STB.

Unplug the box from the mains for at least a minute, check you don't have the crossover adaptor on and try again.
If you're still getting the 169 you'll need to ring Customer Services, ask them to check that the new Broadband code has gone on and also that the signal has cleared

Re: STB Upgrade Faults
After calling up, I was told that my box hadn't been turned on for Broadband (what's new?). Now it is, and after re-previsioning a few times, success!
Thank you very much to everyone that has helped me here!
