got my nem speed but,i hit a proplem, i,m with ntl cardiff area,i had a 1.5 line i could download at 185 kbs and upload 30 kbs, phoned ntl and down graded to a 2 meg line, but ever since that i can down load at 195 kbs and upload at 23 kbs, it wont go over that not even if i dont download and only upload

that sounds about right, the 2 meg tier comes with 200K upstream. if you want more you'll have to go up to 3 meg! (300k, i.e 37.5KB/s)

ok thanks 4 your help,but i wonder why i could up load 30kbs on my old line, it was not up and down it stayed 30 all the time butif you guys says its ok i will leave it at that once again thankyou

You used to be on 256k upstream, which works out about 30k, now you're on 200k upstream, which is about 23-24k.

Your downstream sounds a bit slow though, with a 2mb connection you should be getting around 248k.

the connection you had was 1.5meg down, 256k up (32KB/s)

the connection you moved to is 2meg down, 200k up.

your only option for more upstream bandwdth is to move to the new 3meg tier, with 300k upstream. hope that helps
