Yes, exactly.
Although, hopefully, if we go by what happened the last time there was an upgrade, most people should be done (those on 750k and 1.5mb) tomorrow.
Looking at this, by my reckoning, those listed for overnight maintenance will be the ones that need network upgrades.
I wonder when we'll get our 300k upgrade page on ntlworld?

They must have a single engineer out in belfast with a spanner doing all the work manually. It's being done on all of the days. So much for the luck of the Irish! :-|

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
they might be doing network upgrading over the next few days but they could hold off on sending the new config files down the line which means our speeds wont change.
Alternatively what they're doing over the next few nights might be sending config files down the wire to all 1,000,000 broadband STBs and CMs in which case we'll be on the new speeds by the weekend?

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
What is the upload speed on NTL 300K service. please?
just looking round at the competition becasue i can't cope with the new tiny cap that will be on the "upgraded" service.
Can anyone suggest a decent, cheap alternative without OTT limits please? I know most companies are increasing their speeds so NTL 300K is looking very expensive now.

It won't be looking very expensive @ 1mb will it?
There is no hard cap yet..... why don't you wait until it affects you before spitting your dummy out
Things may change...

I'm unsubscribing for now as we have got to the rumour and gossip stage that we got to in the previous pre upgrade thread last year.

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
This is the most exciting time. Watching for the first lucky person to report they've been upgraded, then everyone resetting their modem frantically, every 2 mins, in the vain hope that they've been upgraded too.

A ripoff eh, I suggest you move to ADSL then, and see how you fare.
