No BB Payment

Say, for example that you signed up for NTL BB in August and had not paid a penny since , whats the stance that ntl would take if it was uncovered ?

Lets add to example by saying that NTL were informed a while ago and promised to send a DD in the post, though nothing turned up......in the example......

Its just an example you see..................

This sort of happened to me.

I signed up for a phone when I was in halls. It is a real busy time for them, and they employ a load of temps and tons of mistakes happen. I never recieved any bills between october and christmas. I didn't care because it was DD, so it was more of an invoice than a bill. I came back from xmas holiday and my line was dead. Some woman was being charged for my calls. NTL never contacted me to recover the cost of my calls, but that could be because after ntl wiped it, they had no way of retriving my true bill after the fact.

I'd say that in your case ntl were negligent so you shouldn't have to pay if they discover it. ntl would probably just write off the 'debt', as that is what they tend to do with mistakes.

If you're using the service (which ntl can determine at any time), you are liable for any costs from the date the service was first active. I'd fess up and pay now if I were you.

Either do that, or if you want to try to get away without paying, put the rough amount you should be paying into a bank account. If NTL come after you for payment you have it ready and waiting. If they don't then just leave it sitting there until you are absolutely sure they won't. It saves the problems of having a very large bill turning up that you can't afford to pay.

Re: No BB Payment

the fact your dd didnt arrive doesnt realy exhonerate you from paying the charges after the bill is mounting its just unpaid, normally after 3 months you get a letter asking you to call to make payment etc
