Was wondering what the lights on my modem mean and which ones should be flashing. The lights are PWR (power I guess), USB, ENET (flashing), U/S (flashing), D/S (flashing) SYNC and RDY.
Any help appreciated. Sorry if this is a bit basic.
PWR - power
USB - would flash if you were using a USB connection
ENET - Ethernet (which you ARE presumably using)
U/S - Upstream - sending data
D/S - Downstream - receiving data
SYNC - not exactly sure what it means, but indicates you have a connection.
RDY - As above - possibly means the modem has gone through its power-up and is ready for action?
Yeah thats pretty much it.
When you first switch the modem on all will flash and then the Sync and Ready will be lit up, still, not flashing.
The others indicate the type of connection you are using and the data going up and down. They will flash on and off randomely and this is normal.
