Question Stereo

I just want to check, the digital tv service is broadcast in stereo isn't it?

Just that I was sure it was, but I've noticed that my tv is now under the impression that it's not.

The DVD player that I've got connected is okay.

Could there be a problem with the box (samsung)?

Re: Stereo

It will be in stereo in that case. It wont be nicam as nicam is an analogue way of getting digital stereo sound, but as you receive picture and sound in digital anyway, this is not needed. (think this is what your talking about?)

- might be cheaper to look at getting external speakers for the DVD than a new telly, Mal - unless it is still under warranty, of course

You changed your quote!

I'm easily confused, as I've just found out what a button does on my remote control. My fault

Thanks for your help...

Nah, the AV channel has a button on the remote with which you can choose to have it in mono or stereo.

I just found the tiny little paragraph in the guide which tells you what the button does. I always wondered what it did...

Read the guides properly. Let that be a lesson...
