Largest European fine for music downloading?
An italian DJ has been fined 1.4 million euros for downloading copyrighted files. He was fined following a raid on his club. Police found 2,000 mp3s and 500 videos..
The reason he got a high fine is he was actually using the MP3s to make money, while not paying a penny to those who created the music.
