Re: Battlestar Galactica
Yeah - well i think this whole programming going wrong thing is just a red herring to be honest - i think they know exaxtly what is happening with their bots.
Would LOVE to know how she gets inside Baltars head though - and how she can pick things up etc without other people seeing her.

Re: Battlestar Galactica
Some people think that Caprica Boomer turned on her masters by going off with Helo. Hence - faulty programming.

Re: Battlestar Galactica
Any machine that "gets religion" is suffering from some *very* duff programing if you ask me!
Addendum: Unless it's one of those cheesy '60s SF stories where someone creates the "ultimate computer" to ask it "is there a god?"
To which the answer is (all together!)...
... There is now!!

Re: Battlestar Galactica
part of boomers programming is a denial of her race, the cant entirely face that she is a cylon, as number 6 said she is a weak model. and remember its AI they are supposed to have their own thoughts

Re: Battlestar Galactica
SUPERB news.
I have heard a few people comment now that this is the best SCI-FI on telly at the moment so im not surprised - i just hope they keep the same cast as there was talk that actors who play Adama and the President were a bit on the pricey side.

Well judging by the final episode of the first series, Adama (Snr) is dead so we won't be seeing too much more of him. I hope that the next series is the last, not because it's bad but because it's good. It would be nice to have a SciFi show end properly, in particular BSG with it's main story arc, with all storylines closed satisfactorily..

6 told him that she put a chip in his head whilst he was sleeping. he also could be a Cylon but I doubt it

Thats a point actually....but then he is quite famous in the BSG place so they would surely have noticed him not ageing....you know what I mean

Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE END OF SERIES ONE!
Boomer goes on a mission to destroy a Cylon Base Star using a stolen Cylon ship, transponder and a nuke.
She has already wondered if she's a Cylon (even though Baltar tested her and found she was, he lied and told her she wasnt) and has made a failed attempt at suicide.
Whilst she is on the Base Star, she is approached by about eight copies of herself...!!
She gets back to the Galactica, having destroyed the Base Star, goes to see Adama in C & C, he congratulates her, at which point, she pulls out a gun and plugs him twice in slow motion...
Fade to credits...

Refresh my memory - what did he say again?
Was it that Adama was a Cylon or are you referring to something else?
And the only way Adama is dead is if he dosent sign up for season 2
