Unhappy NTL D5100 - delete ans fone messages??

Hi,

I've lost the manual to my NTL d5100 and the answer phone is now FULL (of old redundant messages). Dispite my best efforts to 'work it out', without the manual I simply cannot fathom how to delete answer phone messages after they've been listened to and free up space for new ones. It's driving me nuts
Is anyone able to shed light... and put me out of my misery.

With many thanks,
Liz-Louise

This seems to be a common problem, finding manuals for this model ... does this help ?

to delete all messages on the NTL d5100. press the CLEAR button, press the DELETE (0) button, display will show OK. press OK to confirm. after short delay a two tone beep will confirm messages deleted. next press clear button. all done

Yes, but you do not have to expect to pay for a manual on something that is so simple (Its not going to be a Haynes manual is it!)

If I come across my manuals I'll scan them in for free - but I couldn't find them when I last looked (I seem to recall they weren't much cop anyway!)

Q: How can you restore the factory default robot message, when you've recorded your own?

Q: What does call 'blocker' do? It can be turned on/off from the master handset.

To delete individual messages you do this while listening to it - it then deletes just that one.

You can't, once you record over it, it's gone forever.

the manual reads that the CALL BLOCKER function on the d5100 can be selected to divert "withheld" or "unavailable" callers directly to the answering machine. note that the phone will ring once before diverting to the answering machine. how to use it, press menu button repeatedly until BLOCKER is displayed then press the OK button. use the menu or calls buttons to select ON or OFF. then press OK to confirm setting.
