Question New Computer - Re-installing NTL BB

Just a quick query regarding re-installing broadband.

Im contemplating purchasing a new computer and was wondering how I would go about re-installing BB.

Is it just a case of retriving all the email passwords (from the old computer) as plugging everything (SACM) into the new computer where the BB service will automatically work??

Im just curious to see how this would work - havent had to fumble about with the connections since I installed an NIC to move away (at high speed) from USB.

Thanks for your help in advance!!

James

Re: New Computer - Re-installing NTL BB

Hi there, yes it is as easy as that. It's just the modem that is registered so you can attach any pc and it should work and ethernet is the easiest option to go with as well. Good luck but if you have any problems you know where to shout for help

Re: New Computer - Re-installing NTL BB

Thanks Debsy - your help is very much appreciated!!

I also notice that alot of new computers are coming with what is known as an onboard NIC. Does anyone know if these are reliable and as powerful as PCI installed ones??

Suppose it'll still work better than my computer - a Windows 98 based system with a 6GB HD and 350MHZ Pentium 2 Processor!! The machine's 6 years old now and just keeps struggling onward!!
