No interactive ?

Hi, we got a STB installed yesterday and we're still discovering this digital tv thing. However there's a thing that's really annoying me: lack of functional interactive services. Everytime i press interactive on the remote, the red button on BBC/Sky news or try to subscribe to a channel it says that it is currently unavailable!!! Is that going to change soon?

BTW, I'm in Brighton.

Interactive does work in Brighton, so I would just reboot your box (unplug it from the mains for 10 seconds) and then try again. You should find this works whenever you get error messages like that.

If that fails to work, then you should call Customer Services.

And just for your information, ntl does not carry any form of interactive service on any of the Sky channels, so forget about pressing red on Sky News.

nah that didnt work, i left it unplugged all night and still same error when i go to interactive.. i guess ill give them a call.

What type of box do you have Pace or Samsung .if it is a Samsung there should be a solid green light above the ch display this tell the tech that the box has a ip address

The light is not solid.. it keeps blinking all the time then it disappears after a couple of minutes. I also tried to unplug my cable modem plus reset the TV box, with the same result: light blinking a couple of minutes then dying.

The error number I get when accessing "interactive" is M044.
