Modders Now Have The Coolest Memory Upgrade Ever
Quote:
Enter Corsair Memory's new XMS XPERT Memory.
XPERT has one seriously distinguishing feature: It has a 10 character alphabetical LED display that snaps in place over your DIMMS, a pair of 12 element LEDs on the same display track memory activity. Install the RAM in your system and it automatically offers up your your memory speed, voltage, and DIMM temperature in bright red characters. Remember calculators in the Seventies? It's that kind of LED display, and it really stands out through a case window.

Does seem a bit pricey, but I'm sure someone will get it, and that the price will drop.

Based on current memory prices, it's well over twice the cost of similar performance memory from Corsair, for example, 1 gig of Corsair TwinX PC4400 will cost you $269, so you're paying nearly $200 for a pair of displays.

Be great when the inflated cost lowers, perhaps in 3-6 months.
