Re: uk.dtv website
To Scooby...I found it in a post when I did a search earlier. You see I have bought one of those tv/video combi televisions and before I start trying to set it up etc I was just looking for some advice.

Let's hope they don't let some idiot prevent them from carrying on the site.

Re: uk.dtv website
Unfortunately Neil, thats the decision we have had to make. We are really sorry we have had to do it but we didn't want to have something liek this happen again. Also with me being the only one with ntl: (or by mid-Jan) running the site, the others don't have the impetus to carry on (espcieally when they're not paid, so I don't blame them). I felt I couldn't do everything because I'm at university and my hands are full with the Front Row section (which you will be pleased to here is staying, but it will be moved onto my webspace).
Never thought the hacking situation would make it onto another forum!
Thanks for everyones support and it will still be appreciated via the frontrow-movies.co.uk site

Re: uk.dtv website
Would this be anything to do with the virus that was accidentally spread by Google that takes advantage of a vulnerability in PHP?

Re: uk.dtv website
No because the website was html based, but the forum was PHP. I suppose they could have got access that way. We were very lucky tohat the hacker was kind of stupid. He only changed one page and didn't change any passwords so we have been able to combat the problems easily.
