Anyone else can't get to LIME WIRE site ?

Hi,

I can't get to www.limewire.com
and i wondered if its just me,
or if NTL has barred it in some way ... ?

Ooops, its not dot-con, its dot-com !!
(just in case ntl has banned it somehow)

what does it mean?

looked up 'proxy' in help,
its not there.

( i have so much to learn ... sigh ... )

We all have to start somewhere!

Taking that you are running IE6, go to

Tools>Internet Options
Click on the Connections tab
Click Lan Settings
Select use a proxy ser...

In the address try - bagu-cache-1.server.ntli.net and in the Port field - 8080

Press Ok, then ok in the next dialog.

Try it out

There are other proxies under the articles section, i think.

I am using Mozilla,
and IE5.5 for those awkward sites that only work on IE.

Aha ... ,

the help in mozilla does deal with proxies,
not that i comprehend much of it,
the firewall is mentioned,
Should i check my ZA somewhere,
in case ZA has barred it ?

Found it ...

Two entries in my Hosts file,
limewire.com
and www.limewire.com

have re-located said entries to another purpose-made file,
'Hosts relocated entries'

Will now try again, i expect to get through ok.
