Chicago fire etc shows subtitles
The last two episodes of these shows have not had subtitles, they are recordings . Never had this problem before . Has something changed . Yes subtitles are on other shows , don't think any are from sky though  came on for about 5 seconds and went again.

There was a fault with missing subtitles on Sky Witness for a few days last week. It was fixed on Friday.
If you delete the affected recordings and watch those episodes from CatchUp instead, you should find you get subtitles.

Thanks , ok don't laugh , well you can if you want. I put subtitles on turn off the sound put on music and use the TV as a "book" yep really

Is this a recording of the first, early-morning showing? We have found that the subtitles are very unreliable on these recordings (sometimes available, sometimes not, or only available for a couple of monutes) but they are the first ones our series link picks up. I can't be bothered to update the series links on all of our favourite US shows so we've learned to put up with it...

Yep early morning when it's picked up. Never had a problem with it before.

I noticed this too, and it really detracted from my enjoyment of several programmes on Sky Witness.
Breaking Bad on Ultra HD has no subtitles either.
