I'm on fat jabs and it's been brilliant so far.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread
Had a new gas boiler fitted yesterday (ATAG i24r with an 18 year parts guarantee, as long as we have it serviced annually), so reduced gas bills (usage) going forward and cancelling the British Gas Service Plan, means we should have payback for the outlay in around five years.
We had a local (recommended by friends who have used them) gas engineer & plumber fit it, and it was £1800 less than the same British Gas specification.

Flu jabbed this morning. Pharmacies are very accommodating. Nice people in there.

Mines at my local GP so very convient to walk to as its a 2min walk from my house which doesn't really leave my housing estate and it's 7pm after work and free. Previously I've got it through work from Boots or even onsite at work but the last 2 years work hasn't offered it.

After taking this for 2 weeks my blood pressure Sys reading has dropped a little in the mornings but the Dia reading doesn't seem to have changed, it's still in the high 90s, hopefully things will improve so I dont need to revisit the doctors for it.

I finished up on a combination of Amlodipine & Losartan, seems to work ok.

How long did it take for you to see results on your Dia reading, I've only been on this 2 weeks.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread
About 2 weeks.
Amlodipine has a long half life, so after a while it builds up to a steady level.

I was the same, they upped my Amlodipine to 10mg amlodipine which didn't agree with me, so knocked it back to 5mg and added 50mg of losartan then upped that to 75mg and my last reading was 130/79.

Just had my Flu Jab.
Talk about fast, there was no one waiting when I got there, the sign said remove coat before going in to the room due to the speedy nature of it all, they were not joking I literally got called in she told me my date of birth I sat down and within 5 seconds it was job done, no questions or anything, all she said was that's it job done and i was like wtf... Is that it?
I feel like I should have been told what the jab manufacturer was and told not to drive or leave the building for 15mins or so in case of side affects, but I'm at home again and not dead yet! The whole process of walk there, get jab and walk home was likely no more than 6-7mins.
