£3 per trip (atm, or £2 from next Jan) doesnt really seem like a rip off.
from my house to town would be £3 but i have a bus pass ,when i was a teenager it was 2p
when i was 18 i worked in hull for 6 months the bus fare was 5p [local bus] from near guest house to work place it was quite a journey
i think public transport costs are way too high today but then i don't have to pay anymore

The odd trip here and there is fine and acceptable. But having to rely on buses every day and it's now close to £900 a year and when there's no other choice but to pay then yeah it's a rip off. When it was under £600 2-3 years ago.
