My doorbell, the actual noise making part had paint on it so I washed it. I saw a black layer come off after the paint . Any ideas what that black stuff was?

Oh you're ever so kind I'd simply like matt black please. You know you can never be too careful out in the real world with scam calls etc. how do you want the payment?

I fixed 2 of my 8 tracks earlier 
1) THE REAL DONOVAN - The tape let go on 1 end of the foil.. Luckily it was still at the edge so I just opened the cartridge and glued the foil pad to the tape...
2) JAMES TAYLORS GREATEST HITS - I put this into a different cartridge that thankfully plays fine.. (The one it was in did not)

Had issues with a coil whine from my PC for the last couple of weeks driving me nuts. Today I thought I would give it a bit of a service as it was running hot also . Upon removing peripherals I found a M.2 to USB adapter with an m.2 plugging into my front panel. Unplugged it and it appears it was the SSD whining.
The overheating was the water block loosened up over time. So an easy fix
