70 UP

Starting in 1964 World in Action made an episode where it chose 14 children all aged 7 to show the different walks of life

It was so well received they decided a follow up 7 years later which too did well so they followed the pattern every 7 years and met up with those in the first episode until the final series starts tomorrow Tuesday 15th September

I am sure over the years some of you would have caught these shows I know I have and I can remember watching 63 Up 7 years ago and thinking it is ages till the next one. Well it has not really seemed that long.

So it is literally 7 till 70 if you catch up on ITVX

ITV 9pm I have a feeling it is going to be emotional

Re: 70 UP

It's not something I'd watch to be honest, I tend not to watch much live TV and if I do it's just background noise of a movie or TV show I've likely seen before.

I've recorded it. You'll find that, as you get older, life goes quicker and quicker and that the saying 'life is short' really is true.

I’ve watched it right from the beginning in 1964.

My own problem is that while I’m physically 70, I’m still in my early twenties mentally.

It must have been interesting following their lives over the years, it would be a good idea to put them all up onto ITVX & the iPlayer.

I remember a late elderly neighbour once telling me that she felt just the same inside, but looks in the mirror and thinks 'whose that old woman'!
