Re: Reform UK's chronicles
Ah, the old Farage Reformisaurus* definitions…
Independent inquiry - we’ll investigate ourselves
Kangaroo Court - anyone else who investigates our action
Meanwhile, the Reform line seems to be there is nothing to investigate but you are all leftie establishment tree-huggers for asking about the investigation we are holding into the two guys who did nothing but who stepped down anyway even though they have nothing to hide because the nothing they did was something but that something was ok…
A lot of Reverse Double Ferret going on there…
*Reform’s version of Roger’s Profanisaurus

Re: Reform UK's chronicles
I'm not defending or accusing (that's the job of the media lol), but I often wonder how these people gain entry into what I assume are something like private behind closed doors meetings.
"Hi guys, this is my new friend Bob, He's definitely not involved with those TV documentary things exposing corruption, and yes I know he looks like that bloke from channel 4 but he says he's not, he's a really nice chap, in fact when I first met him in the pub an hour ago he bought me a pint . . welcome Bob"

They approached Orr pretending to be rich Right Wing Americans, and were invited by Jukes and Orr to meet, and strangely enough, they weren’t carrying large video cameras, they were using button cameras and microphones…
Anyhoo, here’s the latest from the Reform Press Office

"There wasn’t any window, but if there was a window it wasn’t broken, but it if was broken it was definitely not hit by Nigel Farage's ball, but if it was his ball he almost certainly did not kick it, and if he did kick it, he kicked it within the rules and he has KC’s confirmation of that, and anyway, it was an accident and he knew nothing about it, and it was a woke leftie immigrant window so probably deserved what didn’t happen…

Just throwing something different out there, Politics is in such a mess that any stupid idea seems to be well worth the little effort in trying it. If it works that's fine, if it fails . . well there's always tomorrow

The reality is that the investigation team would have worked on appearing credible first and gaining trust before meeting them, I imagine.
I also think the two Reform senior aides were pretty careless and, of course, completely willing to do this without thinking.
Farage was very careful about what he would openly say in the meeting. The reporters asked about the donation that was being planned (which would be illegal) and he didn't go 'we'll get away with it' and just moved on.
