HD charge

Anybody know why Sky are still getting away with charging customers for HD? They've got rid of many SD versions of channels so how can they justify the extra charge?

Re: HD charge

They still seem to charge for HD, its part of my bill for sport (£2), and offered as an addon for other channels (which I dont take).

Re: HD charge

Sky makes money from the HD charge, and quite a lot I suspect. If Sky removed the HD charge, they would have to raise the base package price to maintain margins.
