It's a pain in the arse as oppose just pressing upgrade. That said setting up a local account upon install of windows 11 isn't exactly any different I just wish things just worked but then I'm heading towards Apple which is a big no so I shall put up or shut up

Re: Secure Boot

Find the iso page = find the upgrade assistant
Download ISO = download upgrade assistant
Find rufus = run installer
Run rufus = wait to see if your OS is able
link to iso = click options ( will be a few pages so dunno how many steps I can use)
plug in USB stick = wait for download
Click burn = click install now
click options to bypass everything you need and create user if you want etc = wait for what seems like a stupid time while it tries to overwrite while windows is still running
boot from USB Stick to installer options = PC reboots and takes ages

Run through options ( few pages ) till you select upgrade (you can do this in windows but it takes the same time as the M$ upgrade ) = you are up and running

The only difference will be the install time here but imo you get to this point quicker booting from media rather than doing it in windows because in effect it installs twice

So long post short there is very little difference in steps plus there are step by step instruction and it really is lemon squeezy
