Yeah the Swiss are going home. Their last game was dire.

Re: World Cup 2026

I can't say I'm a big football fan or armchair expert, but about 5 mins in last night Mrs G summed it up with her chuckle brothers comment of 'to you, to me' followed up with 'this is flipping boring' (but she used the grown-up word).

However, a win's a win and I'm looking forward to the next game.

Was always going to be a slow/challenging game with the temperature and humidity, England can count themselves incredibly lucky, the majority of their passing was pretty poor

As you say a win is a win

Our next opponents win often even when not playing well.

Re: World Cup 2026

Argentina seem dangerous going forward, but not so solid at the back.
Much like England really, so it will be an "interesting" match, I still think my bet on France looks good.

Re: World Cup 2026

I've not been impressed with Argentina all competition so who knows we might be able to sneak it? Hope so anyway.

Well not so good now. So far France have looked dreadful in this match, and are deservedly losing.

Let’s hope it’s contagious and Argentina perform just as badly tomorrow.

Even though Yamal clearly dived with no intention of staying on his feet.

Re: World Cup 2026

Yeah, right.

They were a complete waste of time.
I dont think they even had a shot on target until the last few minutes.
I should ask the French embassy for my money back, they were dreadful.
