Plus all those AI bots scraping away at the site is extremely detremental.
A few of the forums looked at today have had . . 'site busy' . . problems, as did here (for me anyway) a few minutes ago.

One day the AI bots will be the only ones on the internet

Wasnt AI this time, I had a few updates to catch up on, required a reboot of the server.

As to the company, I think they bought a load of co-pilot licences and are now trying to get people to use it - to justify the expense (not a great reason IMO).

I suspect that is entirely the case, many ‘bosses/CEOs’ have been sold on the benefits of AI, purchased licences (at a starting low cost, but expect that to climb year on year), and are now desperate to show that they weren’t just sold a pup.

AI, is a tool, nothing more, nothing less, similar to, say, Excel, depending on what you do, it may, or may not, assist you to be more productive. And that’s it.

Goldman produced a similar paper in 2024.

Gen AI: Too much spend, too little benefit?

Essentially what $1 trillion problem will it solve. And this remains unclear.
