That's shocking I thought it was your front garden. I had those pin like fences in the 1990 separating neighbours only. The back was a wall until someone got their gears mixed up and went straight through it the council didn't bother rebuilding a wall and put up a big closed fence.
RE the fence I posted in the opposite thread. I had a call yesterday from someone saying they were following up from my original complaint.
From the photos I sent, the response I received and the fence that was booked in to be installed they have decided it was not an adequate response as it leaves me with no privacy.
On the basis of my complaint they have changed their policies regarding these issues to be looked at on a case by case basis instead of everyone gets a toothpick fence and I am getting a 6 foot fence installed
Went to Regents Park Open Air Theatre yesterday, was really good, I'd been to the zoo with the kids years ago but I never had time to reminisce, I worked there when I was a teenager and loved it
Just had my first experience driving my car with Adaptive Cruise control, I didn't realise it was so good.
It's just a bummer even though I have the controls built into the car to actually use it I actually have to pay a subscription of £66.5 a year and for High Beam Assist £35.5 a year! This practice should be banned.
turns itself to low beam when it detects oncoming traffic I guess. I am informed it is not very efficient
I'll find out next week on late shift but I try not to use it because of the suicidal bugs late at night.

The trouble with LED headlights is they're so bright you can't see another cars lights coming around a corner, I'll see if it helps next week but I may just not use the main beam so won't pay a subscription after this trial month.
Can you explain to an old duffer just what "high beam assist is"
If it's what I think it is, why the heck do you need it?
my Grandads car had wiper assist, there was a little crank handle on the dash and i assisted by turning it when it rained

Have to disagree - we’ve got rain-sensing wipers and auto-headlights settings on our car, and they make life simpler.
You’ll be complaining about syncromesh ("if you can’t double-declutch, what sort of driver are you?"), and not having to use hand-signals next…
