Mare with VM Moving Home department

Hi all, you can't post on the VM forum nowadays but is there any official support where you get through to someone in the UK?

Contacting someone in the UK is becoming impossible.

I'm in the latter stages of a renovation. Last year I had a site survey - someone came over, looked at the property and said that they'll need to dig down into the driveway to run cables up to the house.

The house already has VM from the previous owner but he said that the whole street will be upgraded this year so it's best to sort this now before the renovation is complete.

We don't want to have the new driveway laid then VM come and dig it back up.

I spoke to VM's Moving Home department a couple of times today. The first person didn't understand what a builder was.

The second time the person seemed to understand my situation but said that the driveway won't need to be dug down (even though the engineer said it would) because it already has VM assigned to the property.

Even after explaining the person in India, not the engineer who visited the property is deciding what I need.

I've booked in my VM moving day but need to speak to someone who can actually grasp what I'm talking about, and have been told by the VM engineer.

I tried to get some help/sense from a number I have for retentions (in Scotland) but he obviously couldn't help me.

Is it really that difficult to speak to someone in the UK?

Any ideas?
