Virgin on demand catch up and box sets

Hi everyone, is anyone else having problems playing on demand. Since yesterday programme's on Sky, Ch 5 etc won't play. Message saying program temporarily unavailable. Service status has no faults showing, phoned customer service, usual no help just say reboot box, problem the same need to send engineer. Should say problem is the same on both boxes, so both can't be faulty?. Any suggestions.

Re: Virgin on demand catch up and box sets

I watched an episode of "Ted" (Sky One) last night with no issues. (About 22:45 - I needed cheering up after the Town game). I'm in Ipswich.

Checked today and now working. Must have been a localised problem, just wish CS agents could find this out before saying need to send engineer and your box might need swapping !!.

To be fair, a tech visit is the correct process when a fault is reported that can't be attributed to any known issue.

They should usually be sending text reminders the night before a visit, to check it's still needed. That gives you a good way of cancelling the visit if the fault has resolved in the interim - you can cancel via myVM online also.
