Re: Moans and Pet Hates

I've never had my windows cleaned from the outside. The weekend just gone by I cleaned the inside and saw the outside could do with a clean.

Why is it so difficult to find somebody who'll clean windows. Virtually everyone on Google maps is busy or no longer offer their services. Checkatrade yielded one positive response all booked in for Wednesday but I must have called 10-20 with no joy. Terrible

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

Funny you say that. I just got a few callbacks from earlier calls that weren't answered. One guy quoted £20 I thought £5 a window would be the reasonable cost for frames and glass but this one guy wants to do it virtually free a tip goes without saying permitted the windows are given a good clean. Also that quote was a one off, scheduled cleans would be even cheaper

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

We have a guy comes and does all our windows (except the conservatory) once a month, for £13.
It was a tenner when we first started using them. Paid by direct debit so no cash needed for payment.

Ours is £15 per month by bank transfer (and that’s for a 4-bed detached) - they use their own water from a van, with extending poles for the upstairs windows.

Almost the same here, £14 a month (only 3 bed detached) using a van with integral water tank and . . specially filtered water apparently.

Years ago it was a chap carrying a ladder, bucket, and mop . . on his pushbike
