UK Timeline : New Samsung TV.

Hi all, can anyone help me with this:
I have just bought a new Samsung 50 Inch QE50QEF1AU Smart 4K UHD HDR QLED TV, all set up right BUT on my vm remote ( for the 306 v6 box) It now won't turn volume up or down, so when I start watching tv I use my vm remote to change channels BUT then have to use the other remote to use the volume.

Can I get the vm remote to do volume as it used to do.

Does the sound come direct from your TV, or are you using a speaker/amplifier etc?

Change the batteries in the 360 remote control as they often don't pair if they aren't brand new (don't assume that the ones included with the remote are full strength)

Pair the remote again. Hold down the 'Live TV' (the one on the right hand side directly below the red power/standby button) and '0' button together for around 10/15 seconds. The Standby button should then start to flash followed by an onscreen message displaying 'Pairing successful - this remote will only work with this Virgin 360 box'.

If that fails you can also try the following:-
Put the box into 'Pairing Mode' by pressing the Standby/On button on the front of the 360 box for 10 seconds. Then using the remote control, press and hold the 'Live TV' button (the one on the right hand side directly below the red power/standby button) and the '0' button together for 10/15 seconds. And fingers crossed hopefully a message should appear on the screen confirming that pairing was successful.

Hi, all I did was buy a new tv it's a Samsung.
all the buttons on remote work & show a red light BUT the volume button shows as green & nothing happens. !
I have the Virgin Media V6 Remote.
The sound comes from the tv.
New batteries in remote.
Tivo Box.

The last time I did this I can remember entering the code 0044 if that helps.
I have tried doing it different ways but still no red light when i press the volume button.
I can't post a photo of it.

Hi newapollo, I am all sorted now I used a code from this site, one of the Samsung codes.

My remote is working with all buttons.... I press any button & it flashed Red apart from the volume button it flashes Green ! but it's working now.

Sorry I gave you the wrong info. I mistakingly gave the info for the 360 box as I thought you had made a typo when you said "my vm remote ( for the 306 v6 box)" since a lot of people still call the 360 by the V6 name.

Not to worry Bud, I'm just happy I can now use just the one remote.

I just use my Samsung smart remote to control the TV and my Sky Q box. Used to do the same when I had VM.
