The DT4 is reading 22c. The dial thinks it's 16c lol thermometer reads 21-24c

You should be happy what he turned up with it looks good.

When you say Dial do you mean your old thermostat?

We thought that must be the issue, when is the electrician fixing the wiring? I'm surprised your plumber can't do it.

Re: When does your Heating usually go on?

No idea. They will email me. I'm generally home so it's no bother if the electrician just turns up but I will be notified prior to arrival.

I like the new thermostat. Simple functions. The programmer looks dated but hey ho I'll generally leave that on constant unless it's the summer period.

The gas man didn't want to pull at the wire which is why hes passed it onto a qualified electrician.

That's its basic selling point, no faffing around unless you want to.

Re: When does your Heating usually go on?

The electrician has come and gone all installed

On the programmer is says there's

off, system is off
Auto, as per programmer
Once, system will turn on as per first programmer setting and turn off at the last programmer time
Continuous, system remains on

The electrician said I suppose auto means as per the thermostat. Bit confusing tbh. I'd like on as per thermostat

Time to read both manuals to find out where you set the on off times for the thermostat, but I'm guessing if you are able to program the thermostat for the times you want the heating on or off and at what temperature throughout a 24hr period then you would leave the programmer on constant because your thermostat is taking the control, this is what was happening with my Hive and older Tado smart setup.

Alternatively it maybe the other way around, I agree it would confuse me too.

---------- Post added at 15:38 ---------- Previous post was at 15:26 ----------

Edit

I'm now thinking you use the ST9100C timer to setup the times you want your heating on or off then the DT4 is used to control the temperature, I've no idea if the DT4 will allow you to press a button for a heating boost or whether you would do that on the ST9100C timer.

I guess you got what you asked for a thermostat that has a digital display but hopefully it gives you a little more control than a regular dial thermostat dumb system.

Re: When does your Heating usually go on?

I called the gas man out. He reset everything and it's working how it should. Continuous means system on as per thermostat. He doesn't know why it was firing up earlier with the temperature set lower than the room temperature. Strange

Now I have the issue of temperature in the property. Before it was kicking in often so heat would be felt. Now with the room temperature reading being correct it's not firing up. I feel the cold chill even though it's hot enough to be comfortable.

What's your thermostat temperature set at? Mine is set to 20c.

20c is kind of low, mines set at 22c this evening and it's comfortable with a jumper on although the outside weather isn't helping as it's dodgy as hell, but I don't walk around in skimpy shorts like you said you do.

Haha, but seriously I would expect someone to still be cold in this weather and 20-22c house temp is they wore shorts. I suspect your house was warmer before because of your useless wall thermostat reading 15c.

Does the DT4 now pretty much match what the room temp is?

Re: When does your Heating usually go on?

I'll adjust as the days go by. I don't want to heat the place up to a point where I can't breathe. I ain't opening the windows in this storm I went out earlier for milk stayed in ever since. The electrician made fun of my shorts too. Massive dude, 24 stone wide not fat and tall. "Times have changed I was told to put a jumper on". Poor guy's eyes were failing. Couldn't make out the small screws that fix the programmer and thermostat to the back plate.

Yeah thermostat matches thermometer reading
