Re: What have you just bought?
Just bought another 4K Firestick for £26 (lowest price ever) that allows slide loading before they get discontinued in a few days. I will be setting up my parents with IPTV and hope once setup it won't need me on-site to fix things because I live a 3hr car trip away!

Surely they will discontinue the older model like they previously have? That's my guess anyway.
Btw I've settled for Tivimate as my IPTV guide, once I start hiding the stuff I don't want it s but ms to work better and the other one is slower and kept crashing on my Fire sticks.

doing that would kill their sales in that kind of product . Lets be real the majority either already own on or will want one to access illicit material. It is still I linux operating same as the android based devices. I dunno if we will see vega jailbroken but they never thought IOS would be crack able but that did not last long. We will see though . It makes no real odds to me either way though

We can only hope they keep being produced but there are plenty of alternatives.
We could do with an IPTV/ Dodgy box topic but I'm not sure if Paul would allow it?

I think you had the right idea of sourcing it yourself. Talking about technology isn't illegal.

Re: What have you just bought?
I took it off yesterday it was irritating me. I don't like to trim down a playlist. I couldn't reason with it.
It expired this morning anyway so no more testing.

As indicated by Hugh, that would not be allowed by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Re: What have you just bought?
A replacement gas hob (Beko £119) and a new fan oven (Logik £159) from Currys.
Delivery and fitting of the gas hob added on another £140, no option to collect from their local store.
There were slightly cheaper places, but none offered the gas hob installation below £200!!!

Topcashback would have given 3% cashback and you could have bought with Currys gift cards that would have given you a further 5% saving, just something to consider for everyone. (I feel like an Everup saleman but the app really works).

Re: What have you just bought?
I brought some hair clippers on eBay 2 years ago which had a 3 year care package on it. Today I decided to give a replacement a go because I had brought a better lithium clipper. At Argos the lovely lady checks out the terms and says pick something so I thought she would swap it over to something better so I picked out a lithium clipper. She says ok, goes back to the till and says I'll refund the return then open a new purchase. Nope
Returned clipper https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7996...gyMTExNDc4NDQy
Lithium https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7727...gyMTExNDc4NDQy
I did try sweet talk her into giving me the lithium clipper but she politely declined. Oh well I got a refund which I shouldn't have got to be honest. The care pack was for a replacement or Argos vouchers. She put it back on my card happy days.
