Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
Nothing on the local display unit even when positioned adjacent to the actual smart meter!
Had to submit model ref/serial No to enable display/smart meter to be paired up to my account.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
Can't help but feel it was better last year. But since it is just weather dependant I guess you can't complain.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
I had my first human data collector checking my smart meter readings in August according to my billing, it sure gives to some head scratching billing, like charge me £7.83 for Electricity in the middle of the month then again a week later for the exact same amount only to then credit it back on the same day, luckily the overall bill for the month appears normal.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
Well this smart meter is dumber than the original claimed the tech who visited us today!
Due to the position of smart meter (under stairs on outside wall) not receiving a wireless signal.
So a totally blind metering system untill a signal amp can be sourced, meter reader organised on a monthly basis to send and notify us of costs.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
I'm sure that somewhere between fitting the meter and discovering the problem, there will have been a minimum of 17 tick boxes marked as 'done' and pats on the back all round

Wireless signal ? - I presume they mean connecting to the DCC network, not your wifi.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
Not talking to the outside world I believe?
Not knowing how to access any reading on the smart meter plus no update on the remote display.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
Yep, thats the DCC (the smart meter network).
I believe boosters exist, not sure how you get one though.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
There maybe a 30 day rule for people switching back and forth on Smart tariffs now, I'm seeing reports on Reddit they have not been able to switch from Agile to another tariff and back again.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
I think Octopus have always had that rule for moving from Smart to non Smart tariffs (and back again).
If you move away from Tracker, you cant return to it for 9 months ...

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
Oh, thats new, Agile & Go are both smart tariffs.
You used to be able to switch between them at will.
I'm not surprised if they are clamping down.
I used to see many posts in a facebook group about people switching almost daily.
Reading that page, it seems some are still switching at will.

Re: Smart Meters and Tariffs
You obviously shouldn't be able to switch tariffs more than once a year (because this is how things are budgeted). That arrangement was never going to last.
