Yeah, they looked lovely. I guess some people might possibly have a skull the right shape to magically hold them in place but in my case sadly not.

I tried on a pair of this style, and they felt "odd". But the assistant said that they are heated and the arms moulded to fit the head. But she said that for them to sit properly, I would have to opt for "thinner and lighter" lenses. Not an option for the varifocals that I require.
Incidentally, for the past few years our family have been getting our specs from the local ASDA.

Re: Eye Test, Contact Lenses & Glasses
The mould adjustment is done when collecting the glasses. When ordered online the only person I'm in contact with is the courier

How on earth is the fit checked. Every pair I have ever had ,and have been wearing them all life. Have needed adjusting to fit . Never mind correctly positioning the lenses. Different even when getting two pairs at the same time .

Re: Eye Test, Contact Lenses & Glasses
I just called vision express that booked me in for a eye test, my last had expired some months ago and legally I'm not allowed to give my expired eye test results. Not sure how true that is because these online retailers have the option to input your test results without providing evidence. Anywho vision express offer free moulding. It doesn't matter if the glasses are purchased elsewhere.
I kind of like these

Does the strap not sit behind your neck?

No idea just strikes me as a "emperors new clothes " moment. Guess some people will follow anything.

If you go to the bank where your money is and withdraw some of your money you'll be able to pay me. Tight arse. I should take you to the vet for a temperature check, a good ol' thermometer in your anus. Tails up.
I click on unread message and mark the forum as read when I've had enough reading

That's why you forget about the threads you participated in and likely why you missed your Birthday thread.

Re: Eye Test, Contact Lenses & Glasses
Get your eyes lasered , and have done with it ( maybe not, i don't trust that either.. )
Contact lenses for me, always hated glasses sliding my nose. Even when reading goes contact lenses have a solution. My bathroom looks like a chemistry set, but so be it.
