Try achieve 5k on a treadmill. It's a game changer.

I remember my late grandparent having dots all over his tummy from insulin jabs. Is Ozempic jabs the same?
I forgot, I took off my shoes doing 5k on the treadmill at the gym. I wore cushioned socks. It was lovely. I wasn't meant to but the gym manager wasn't nit picky so too his team of workers. Pleasant place to be.

I hate it. It's not attractive, personal preference. I use to just eat everything for flavour rather than hunger.

It is but you wouldn’t use Ozempic as often as a diabetic would jab their insulin.

Scars would be just as bad as saggy skin in my opinion. I'm hoping my weight reduces with skin.

Not been on treadmill yet. For cardio I've just been doing bikes and cross trainer.

Like you I've decided it's time to get some weight off. We joined a gym last autumn and Mrs G enjoys all the classes etc. I'm not a runner, so most of the time I just get on a treadmill and do a good brisk walk for an hour, then an hour in the hydro-pool, sauna and steam room. Because of various issues with my neck and shoulder I have to be careful not to overdo it so also do a bit of gentle weight work a couple of times a week.
I've set myself a goal of a minimum 10,000 steps a day, and along with more sensible eating I've managed to get about 2 stone off.

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?
I started at 94kg 2 months ago. I’m now 86. Diet shakes from protein dot com because they keep hunger pangs off about an hour longer than slim-fast, and they are tolerable with water rather than skimmed milk which means you’re only taking in about 140 calories each.
I try to keep as busy as possible, because then I don’t think about food. But if I’m having a quieter day, prepared salads from Morrisons (they have a couple of nice ones without dressing) are a good snack. Dinners bulk with lots of veg whenever possible. I’m having to calorie-count meals very carefully as missus is doing it with me and her allowance is a lot more restrictive than mine.

Oven cooked cod fillets. Air fry chicken quarters. Lamb fillet. Ribeye air fry then seared with minimal oil. Chicken/lamb curry. Salmon seared skin down then stuck in the oven.
All individual meals with a big container of veg.

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?
In trouble now. Feel like my fitness levels have increased. Went out yesterday ended up cycling 45 miles walked into town an hour after ended up walking 6 miles then later in the day walked another 3 miles. Total calorie burn for the day including being alive over 5000 calories. Woke up early today went out 6am was intending to only go 20 miles ended up cycling 52. Intend to go out again walking before lunch
Why am I in trouble you ask? simply eating enough calories to cover it now I am fluttering around my target weight of 12 stone

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?
You'll soon be a costume of a man
---------- Post added at 12:09 ---------- Previous post was at 11:03 ----------
Anybody able to help me please. I need a new seat for my mountain cross country bike. My buttocks hurt while planted on the seat at present. Ideally I'd like a new post and seat. Why I need a seat post as well is because currently there's a big gap between bottoming out the seat post and the seat so my ride height is higher than I want it. I'm tip toeing currently while sitting on the seat and my feet touching the ground. I'd like the seat to go down some more. Not sure if it's possible. May be the current one is bottoming out.
Seat post is 30.9
