Is our box faulty?

Ok so ever since our Tivo box became a 360 box we are forever having to reset is is apps like ITVX and BBC I-Player are always asking to log in. its getting very annoying. The 360 mini box is working without issue and both are connected to the router by wifi.
The wifi signal is good and on both boxes.

Any ideas what could be wrong.

Re: Is our box faulty?

Honestly turn it off and on again to see if that helps.

If it still doesn't work try https://community.virginmedia.com/ca.../Virgin_TV_360 where you'll get better help than here.

There are 36 apps on the 360 box. Do you also have to log in each time with netflix, Disney+, Prime, STV Player etc?

Having to repeatedly sign into apps can sometimes be an early sign of hard drive problems. Have you had any problems setting or playing back recordings? You can check for possible hard drive problems by pausing a live TV program for a minute or two and then pressing play. (It works the same as playing back a recording)

How are you resetting the 360 box? Is that by turning the box on and off? Removing the box from the mains and then plugging it back in again?

Or by resetting do you mean a factory reset? If you have performed a factory reset via Settings > System > Factory Reset, then part of that process means you have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITVX again.

If you haven't tried that factory reset yet then if you do try it then you are given 2 options

Keep Recordings
Format Disk

Choose Keep Recordings, as that means you won't lose your recordings and any planned recordings or series links you've set up. BUT you will however have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITVX again.

Yes to all of the above although we don't watch all the apps. We only tend to use BBC Player ITVX My5. It is a real pain and at time of writing this all our recordings have been lost without even touching the 360 box.

Since all of your recordings have been lost that confirms it's a hard drive issue and your box will need replacing. Unfortunately that means you will any actual that might appear on your box.

You need to contact VM customer support either by phone, WhatsApp on 0780 3089 684, Social Media by either messaging
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/virginmedia or Twitter: https://twitter.com/virginmedia or via the community forums.

Tell them you've lost all your recordings, you have to repeatedly sign into all apps, and pressing pause and play on live TV doesn't work.

Re: Is our box faulty?

Hi guys, we recently got new 360 boxes, I'm quite happy with them apart from the fact that whilst watching a live program like BBC news, I cannot rewind the news to something that I maybe had missed earlier, it starts to rewind very briefly for about a second or so and then goes back to live tv, any ideas? Or does this feature not work on the 360 box? Thx

It's a downgrade of a lot of features as you’ve discovered.

Re: Is our box faulty?

We had the Tech pay a visit yesterday. he said "don't tell me, you converted your Tivo into a 360 box" we said yes, he promptly installed a replacement so i will see how that goes.

Just tried it, it doesn't work, very disappointed that this feature isn't available on the 360.

The paddle buttons jump forward 30 seconds with a press >> or backwards 10 seconds <<.
