The Prime minister has power to do many things such as that, they used such powers during covid for emergency procurement. He just doesn't, because he doesn't actually want the issue solved.

Pretty much all the measures I recall had to be approved by parliament, which of course they did.

 | Dominic Cummings recalls Boris having to go to each department and tell them they are allowed to bypass the procurement procedures.

That is just one example but the Prime Minister is allowed to invoke various powers on behalf of the King and is probably less constrained than the US president in many ways.

That said I don't have the legal knowledge to go into detail. So I asked an AI

		| Conclusion:
Leadership Style: A UK Prime Minister might be seen as having more "power" in steering the domestic agenda due to party control over Parliament, but this is contingent on maintaining party support.
Constitutional Authority: The US President has a distinct set of powers enshrined in the Constitution, but these are balanced by a robust system of checks and balances.

Thus, while the UK Prime Minister might have more immediate control over domestic policy through parliamentary mechanisms, the US President holds significant independent powers, though these are subject to greater checks. The nature of "more power" can be seen differently depending on whether you consider immediate legislative influence or constitutional authority.
