Listings run up until 5:59, I wonder if they're saying midnight because they can't guarantee the programmes will be shown whilst they reconfigure the feeds?

London Live says on X that they will close at midnight.

All of the local TV feeds go through COMUX NOC in Birmingham, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Local TV has been an abject failure. Why does the government continue to use taxpayer's money in a futile effort to keep them afloat?

Local TV Ltd, that currently runs the local channels in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, North Wales, Teesside, & Tyne/Wear was reported to be after the London licence. OFCOM would have to approve it, but I can’t see it not happening.

Notts TV is not funded by the government, its owned by local media groups.
Its on Freeview, and was on Virgin & Sky, its no longer on Sky, not sure about Virgin.

it was such a weird decision. yes local tv is huge in the USA but that country is also bloody bigger than the UK
with youtube and social media why would anyone want to broadcast on local tv?

There’s more regional news on BBC and ITV than on the local channels. It’s a pretty poor record.

Re: Virgin TV (2025)
Has virgin stopped supplying the 360 box to new customers in HFC areas?
I can't see any reference to it here https://www.virginmedia.com/tv
The text about Watchlists seems to suggest only Stream boxes are being supplied to new customers now.

Re: Virgin TV (2025)
Yes by the looks of it
Looking closely at the checkout options It's a Virgin Stream box on all bundles, TV 360 is no longer available.

If it just a streaming box, what's the point? You can get that free elelsewhere. VM is making itself redundant.... Not the best business plan.

Re: Virgin TV (2025)
Sky will doing the same at some point, hard to even find Sky Q now , all thats advertised is Sky Stream
Tell that to Sky , Sky offer Netflix with ads , Discovery+ (which will be replaced with MAX with ads) and Sky Atlantic only via Sky Stream for £15 where the only selling point will be Sky Originals in 12 months.

Re: Virgin TV (2025)
The streaming future is all about advertisers not being happy about punters being able to ff through ads. With recordings you have total control.
Can see myself dusting down my old VHS recorder....
