They've lived through far tougher times in the past and would be appalled to think someone describes them as victims.

I wasn’t aware wealth re-distribution was such a bad thing.

I'm not convinced that someone that can afford a pleasure boat, desperately needs a few shillings from the tax payer to put in the meter.

I remember it well, i only just survived that. Still here after 30 years
As for Labours war on pensioners i am pretty sure those pensioners that survive the next 5 winters will damn well remember this at the next elections.

They won't and they're not as political party oriented as you suggest. They've worked hard all their lives and don't subscribe to your handout culture. If the government wants to give them free money they're not going to say no, but they don't put the heating on just because they get a hand out.

I survived too, but decided enough was enough at the end of 2000. How time flies.
I reckon Labour have their fingers crossed that they don't survive.

Pensioners don't tend to vote for Labour anyway ! They are as likely to gain votes from other age groups that agree with the reforms.

Agreed if you look at the country as a whole. In South Wales it's a different story, the majority vote Labour from cradle (if they had their way in the bay) to the grave.

Re: Starmer’s chronicles
And if that keeps the Tories out of Wales then it’s never a bad thing.

It's reform for wales next election, huge pictures of Nigel on every corner, an end to that silly welsh language, normal road speeds, and an end to devolved governments

Is it, though? Labour's reign in Wales has been sub-par of late. Maybe like the Conservatives they need some time to re-energise in Opposition. Or does Plaid Cymru provide the real opposition in Wales?

An interesting development but would Reform just split the small right-wing vote in a traditionally left-wing country?
