Weird issue with O2

Hi all,

trying to work out if its a phone issue or a sim card issue with o2. my mum currently can't hear anyone when she makes calls and they can't hear her. after the call ends it comes up with "call failed".

I've tried switching it on/off and resetting too. but no joy. when i reset it works for like 10 seconds and then stops working again. someone on reddit said theyre encountering the same issue. its an iphone 12.

any suggestions? off to the o2 shop tomorrow otherwise (i.e. today!)

Re: Weird issue with O2

Try the sim in a different phone if you can. That will rule out the device if it still happens.

I've personally not had any issues with O2 in Glasgow.

Re: Weird issue with O2

If it happens to anyone else it was solved last year with a new sim card. unfortunately i couldn't get a new sim card in an 02 shop. i had to order one on line. i then went into the shop to try and activate it. there were 5 members of staff just chilling talking to each other and the shop was empty but they couldn't help me and i had to call up again....took forever as quite a few people couldnt understand me.

got it working mind!

This why I use Tesco staff are so,so helpful. And it's cheaper than O2 but it's O2

Is it one of those foreign call centres that they use or do you mean they couldn't grasp what the problem was?
