Some negative prices again tomorrow, first since August 25th.
Octopus are also doing the free [extra] electricity offer between 1pm and 2pm tomorrow.

Unfortunately again I can't benefit from it as I'll be at work until 2pm so I can't even put the washing machine on, but my unit rate on Tracker will be only 15.71 for 24hrs so it's still good for me as that is 38% cheaper than my SVP if I had stayed on Flexible.

I mentioned the Faraday Cage situation, and the senior tech was called over, and he agreed that was the problem. He moved his test kit out of the enclosures and got "reasonable" signals just a meter away from the house wall.

It all sounds very complicated. I just read my meters, when it suits, 'adjusted' to make the best of of any price changes, and let them have the readings. Take back control, don't let them have it !

Octopus Energy is stepping in to offer state pensioners who've lost the £300 Winter Fuel Payments up to £200 each. Pensioners with Octopus Energy can apply for discretionary energy bill credits of £50, £100 and £200 after the new Labour Party government axed the payouts for anybody.

The energy firm has decided to extend its £30m Octo Assist fund to help those pensioners who need it most. The company will now allow lower income pension households who don't receive pension credit to claim new assistance from the fund.

I have not charged my car all week on the hope of cheap electric at the weekend and i was right to do that so i will fill my boots tomorrow .

On Agile the cost drops to 0.92p per Kwh at 11:43 and only goes up again at 15:45.

If you do your car every time it's free won't they decide it's your normal usage and you won't get anything?

This is the first time I've been home on a free hour, last time when I wasn't home I managed to save 2 pence.

For the additional electricity you use, above your normal usage in the Free Electricity session, you’ll receive a bill credit for the extra electricity, based on the per kWh rate of your tariff.

For half of todays (1.30 - 2pm) the per kWh rate on agile is -0.65p, so how does that work ?

They are already paying us to use any electric in that period, do they take some of that back ...

I see the free hours the send out on email as a gimmick, i am more interested in the time they pay me being on Agile as that is a bigger benefit when i charge my car.

These smart meters bombard your whole house with RF energy that YOU CANT GET AWAY FROM unless the power goes out!

Of course the power companies are trying to force this... THEY MAKE OUT LIKE BANDITS!!
 http://techwellness.com/blogs/expert...out-for-health
Not everything new in this world IS GOOD.....
Here’s why people, communities and governments around the world are rejecting smart meters:
  - Radiofrequency interference causing malfunctioning of wireless equipment such as Wi-Fi and Netflix

- Radiofrequency interference causing malfunctioning of medical equipment such as pacemakers and wireless insulin pumps

- Radiofrequency spikes causing appliances to break

- Health effects like migraines, nausea, vomiting, muscle spasms, heart palpitations and sleeplessness caused by intense bursts of radiofrequency radiation that has just been classified as a “possible carcinogen” by the World Health Organization — in the same category as lead, engine exhaust and DDT

- Cybersecurity breaches

- Excessive billing

- Interception of personal identity information

- Electrical fires
