I presume you mean the fire.
Fires can burn in space, as long as there is an available oxidiser, indeed NASA have done so.
However, they dont burn in the same way as on earth (ie rising flames), that was inaccurate.
Still, much of what happens in Star Wars isnt possible, not really much point in nit picking one item.

I really wanted to like it, and it had its moments (i.e. the light saber battles) but as a whole it was just a bit dull and boring waiting for good bits.
