Technical issue on Sky Sports+

I was watching the Millwall v Watford football match at 12.30 yesterday (Saturday 10 August) on Sky Sports+ and it froze a couple of times then showed the message "Technical issue on Sky Sports+, please try again later". After a minute or so it started again - anyone else had/have this problem? I've done al the usual checks on my system and all is ok

It's the future, streaming, apparently.

Under the old analogue system we had technical issues with new channels starting up occasionally. I remember when the new Select TV channel started on cable at the same time as those Granada channels, the sound was way out and it was far too loud. It took about a week to sort that out.

On other occasions in the past we have had vision problems too, with channels stuttering and buffering in their early days.

Have you checked if there are issues in your area? If not, best to give Customer Services a ring on Monday. Alternatively, the Virgin Media Community Forum may be able to help you out more speedily.

Yes.

We had a number of issues on Friday and Saturday.
The "Technical Issue" happened 3 times, once Friday, Twice Saturday.
I had to come out of the match and then go back into it, that seemed to work.

On Saturday, my wife tried to load the Notts County Match, but instead it loaded the Port Vale match. Tried again at half time, it was working correctly.

The match I was watching dropped out to a "coming soon" message about 4 minutes from the end.

We also suffered a bit of stuttering during the matches (i.e. froze for 2/3 seconds, then carried on).

Overall, considering the number of matches, it would probably be declared a success, but it wasnt without issues.

Re: Technical issue on Sky Sports+

A number of technical issues also affected Sky's own subscribers.

Re: Technical issue on Sky Sports+

The overall quality of Sky Go has been poor when I’ve been using it the last couple of days. Could be demand. Could be something else.

If you had a nice analogue terrestial signal, you'd be more assured of that! Too many things can go wrong with streaming.
