So when he asks for Liverpool kits for his birthday I’ve had to buy them. And when he wanted an Anfield stadium tour, yep I had to take him. You can imagine how much that pissed me off however his happiness is paramount.
Anyway I bought him a kit for his birthday which turned out to be ridiculously small (the way they ascertain the size on their website is absolute bollards, really stupid) and I’ve needed to return it for a refund as I can now get it cheaper elsewhere.
So my moan? It’s just how helpful and friendly the club shop staff have been about the whole thing. There were a few issues that needed ironing out but they were absolutely brilliant. I wanted them to be dicks about it (because…..Liverpool) but no, very helpful and friendly.

Compromise, get him and yourself Cardiff City shirts. You'll both have more self respect

I went on the tour with him. I ****** hated it. Much preferred Old Trafford (naturally). The only decent part of the scouse tour was the changing room with all the “rest of the world” legends shirts. Messi, Buffon, Keane etc, all actual shirts of players who’d been there.

We’ve driven past Cardiff’s ground numerous times. He has the good sense to not have any interest in the place and neither would I.

I don't quite understand Russ's response either. He must have read it wrongly or didn't get the humour. I saw nowt wrong with it.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates - Part 8
In May I contacted my mobile phone people about their charges. I spent nearly an hour trying to get some sense, but eventually had to request I speak with a manager. Ended up we came to an agreement of £7.20 per month including VAT (more than half previous charges). Today I get a bill for £10.20, I asked them why, and it is apparently because my direct debit was not renewed. Give me strength

Re: Moans and Pet Hates - Part 8
Just completed tha annual joyfest that is Car Insurance renewal - the moan is about the amount of time and effort involved.
Our MultiCar policy was set to increase around £600 for 3 cars (Kodiaq, KA+, Focus), so I decided to shop around, and got my wife's KA+ reduced by £45, my Kodiaq reduced by £170, and my son's Focus* renewal price** by £280. I rang up our current insurer to see if they could price-match, but the best they could offer was around a £130 reduction on their initial renewal prices.
It's takes a bit of time and effort (even with comparison sites), and it's a bit more inconvenient to have three different companies to deal with, but for a saving of nearly £500, but it's definitely worth doing.
*he pays for his own insurance, but we pay it annually up front (to reduce the cost), and he pays it back by DD monthly
** his renewal had initially been raised by over £200. but he recently got a speeding ticket for doing 76mph on the Motorway, so this bumped it up another £300, from £690 last year to over £1200 this year

The multi car insurers are absolutely at it. I had to move away from ours this year because of the ludicrous increase they wanted.

And be creative with your annual mileage estimate. When I sorted insurance for my Aunt earlier in the year, getting a quote based on doing up to 5,000 miles was the sweet spot. She doesn't even do 1000 but that nearly doubled the price!

Someone who hardly uses the car is presumably more likely to wreck it when they do (or in my mum’s case, wreck other people’s … she was very good at deleting wing mirrors off other cars, including a very shiny Lotus once )

Re: Moans and Pet Hates - Part 8
In fairness…I know there’s an idea that insurers are happily ripping people off but that’s not necessarily always the case. Cost of car parts has generally gone up and import hassle from Brexit all plays as part.

And for younger drivers cars (anyone under 35), have one of the parents as an additional named driver - that can knock off a bit.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates - Part 8
For a not-so-young couple, having each other named on our policies reduces the cost for both of us.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates - Part 8
We were named drivers on our daughters policy back in the day. For some reason adding me as the first named driver and Mrs G as the second gave a lower price than adding Mrs G first and me second.

To be honest if someone was trespassing on my lawn like that I would be seriously stressed and pissed off.

In this case you trespassed and caused the issue.
