Netflix via v6 ?

Watching Netflix via v6, no problem. The question is , not sure if this is the right page to ask this. Would putting VPN on router block it. Not asking for the plus, or minus about doing that , just does it effect the v6 box

Re: Netflix via v6 ?

The V6 has problems going through some routers so I would expect some issues with VPNs.

Thanks was just a thought have at least 5 devices but only 3 vpn "slots" as all are" in house " seemed like a cheap answer but was not sure how it would effect V6 , thinking about it would mess up smart tvs

Re: Netflix via v6 ?

Can a VPN be installed on a superhub? Or are you referring to a separate router connected to the superhub? If the VPN isn't on the superhub and the V6 connects to the superhub, then it can't be using any VPN.

Don't know what a super hub is ! It's a hub 3 . Guess the answer is don't even try. VPN says enter password to get it started, haven't even tried

Re: Netflix via v6 ?

What exactly does a VPN have to do with phone calls, Deals and Ads ?

How does it "protect bank secure login" ? Do you know what a VPN is

Giving out details, if you think that sharing ANY information is good idea you have a bigger problem than I thought. In my case bank login is part of the package. As is blocking 🚫 ads , banners and all the trash that is on the Internet. All the things I mentioned are part of the package. So putting it simply just for you VPN doesn't the package it comes with does

Before making statements, its generally a good idea to have at least some clue what you are talking about.
You obviously dont know what VPNs actually are, or how they work, so ... good luck with that.

Re: Netflix via v6 ?

The V6 won't connect to Virgin's servers behind a VPN and to that end you'll get the not connected error preventing accessing any apps.

You'd need to have some kind of policy routing for the V6 and use your own supplied router for this as the Virgin one won't. Alternatively, just use VPN apps on those devices you want it on a instead. Phones, tablets, PCs etc. If those devices don't support a VPN then it leaves you down the router road which is why Paul asked your use case.

I don't know why a bank login would be any safer with a VPN than your home internet connection.

Again the package includes safe banking app , vpn . Ad blocker torrent, thingy, virus checker, block sites, child protection etc. As the package asked if I wanted to put it on the router I asked what effect that would have. Why do certain persons make it such hard work to ask a simple question.

Your posts indicate otherwise, but hey, maybe you took the last 2.5 weeks to learn rather than reply.

Also, just because something comes as part of a/the package doesnt mean you need to use use it.
I asked you a simple question, you increasing went off the rails each reply (to more valid questions).

Post like you did in the previous post again (deleted), and you wont be posting in this topic further, as others have found out.
